My Backyard

My Backyard

Another day is nearly done
Sit and watch the setting sun
Nothing really much to do
Now that all my work is through
Times can be tough and life can be so hard
But oh, the livin's easy
Yeah, the livin's easy
Mmm, the livin's easy
Out in my backyard.

As the dusk comes creepin' in
The nightly concert will begin
The crickets start on their first set
And I'm beginnin' to forget
Times can be tough and life can be so hard
But oh, the livin's easy
Yeah, the livin's easy
Mmm, the livin's easy
Out in my backyard.

Bridge:
A cusser's moon is on the rise
The kids are catchin' fireflies
in a Mason jar
We'll let 'em stay up late tonight
Lie back and count the satellites
Floating through the stars

Times can be tough and life can be so hard
But oh, the livin's easy
Yeah, the livin's easy
Mmm, the livin's easy
Out in my backyard.

For any friend I care about
The welcome mat is always out
Grab yourself a comfy seat
Find a place to rest your feet
Times can be tough and life can be so hard
But oh, the livin's easy
Yeah, the livin's easy
Mmm, the livin's easy
Out in my backyard.
