Sweet Serenity

Sweet Serenity © 1974 Bob Mullany

Sweet serenity, I'm so glad I found you
Now that you're here with me, I want to always stay around you
I've wandered and I've wondered if I'd ever see this day
Now that you're here with me, love, I hope that you can stay

The night is cool and clear as glass
The harvest moon is rising fast
And it's twice as nice as it used to be
And it's all because you're here with me

Every song that speaks of love I will sing to you
And every gift with love in mind I will bring to you
Every day I'll pray you'll stay and be right by my side
Though we may face the rain again I'll still be satisfied

Sweet serenity, you know men have spent years
Searching for you everywhere, but blinded by their fears
I wish that I could show them all, I wish they only knew
If they would look inside themselves they could all find you

The night is cool and clear as glass
The harvest moon is rising fast
And it's twice as nice as it used to be
And it's all because you're here with me

Every song that speaks of love I will sing to you
And every gift with love in mind I will bring to you
Every day I'll pray you'll stay and be right by my side
Though we may face the rain again I'll still be satisfied
