American Dream

American Dream

It's an American dream
I got daddy's car with the big back seat.
I got the girl with the Coppertone tan and hair like summer wheat.
Got one hand on the wheel and one hand on the treasure chest.
If that ain't all there is to life,
Well, buddy, you can have the rest
Yeah, buddy, you can have the rest

It's the American dream
And we've got more than a two-beer thirst.
We only play the games where we know we can always finish first.
We got one hand on the wheel,
One hand on an ice-cold brew
If that ain't all there is to life,
Well, buddy, we'll leave the rest to you
Yeah, buddy, gonna leave the rest to you.

Got the American Dream
Cruisin' the highways with no future or past.
Holding on to the moment for just as long as the good time lasts
Got one hand on the wheel
and one hand in the till
Jack up our credit
buddy, we ain't gonna pay the bill
no,buddy, we ain't gonna pay the bill.
