One Phone Call

One Phone Call © 2007 Bob Mullany

I been worried 'bout the end times, the Apocalypse, and all
About Christians disappearing when they're driving to the mall
I've seen pictures of the universe and I'm feeling pretty small
I wish God would make one phone call

One phone call, it doesn't have to be that long
One phone call, will tell me if I'm right or wrong
I swear by you from that day on my faith is really strong
God, all I need is one phone call

Remember when I prayed to You when I was just a boy
You never, ever answered but I never got annoyed
When I got a little older I wondered why you were so coy
Can't you spare me one phone call ?

One phone call, we don't have to talk a lot
One phone call, 'cause my faith is really shot
You can call and prove to me if You're still there or not
God, all I need is one phone call

I've been watching wars on TV, and the world is such a mess
Everybody has their own god and they swear their god's the best
I can understand you're busy and you probably need the rest
But all I need is one phone call

One phone call, yeah, one little call will do
One phone call, can't be that difficult for you
Touch me with the Holy Spirit if you've got too much to do
Or all I need one phone call

I'm getting pretty tired 'cause it's getting kind of late
I get up really early and I'm at my desk by eight
We could synchronize our calendars and we could pick a date
To fit me in for one phone call

One phone call, God, that really would be swell
One phone call, You can all me on my cell
You can tell me what I need to do so I don't go to hell
All I need is one phone call

One phone call, is that too much to expect ?
One phone call, I feel I'm suffering from neglect
It would really mean a lot to me if we could just connect
God, all I need one phone call
