We’ve come down to the river again
A new day’s about to begin
Redemption is ours despite all of our sins
And we feel the spirit within


Our hearts and our souls were diseased
We cried as we fell to our knees
“We’re lost in the desert, Lord, come help us please”
Then we felt the spirit within


Sounds so sweet when we hear it
We’ve found peace through the spirit
God’s love is complete, there’s no need to fear it
When we feel the spirit within


No mattering where you came from
No mattering what you have done
Come live a good life and your kingdom will come
