Point of View © 1985 Bob Mullany
Looking forward to tomorrow
and I know that all you see's another yesterday
You've been living with your sorrow for so long now
that you can't see any other way
You can say it's the middle of the night
And you're never going to make it through
Or you can say that you're half way to the morning
all depending on your point of view
There are those who came before you
Who have suffered more than you could ever bear to see
You can see them on the corner of the street
In nearly any place you choose to be
You can say it's the middle of the night
And you're never going to make it through
Or you can say that you're half way to the morning
all depending on your point of view
You can try your hand at praying to the lord
But in the end it's really up to you
'Cause the Lord ain't coming down out of the sky
to take your hand and help you see it through
You can say it's the middle of the night
And you're never going to make it through
Or you can say that you're half way to the morning
all depending on your point of view
"A definite purpose, like blinders on a horse, inevitably narrows its possessor's point of view."
