Kindness of Strangers

Kindness of Strangers © Bob Mullany 5/6/2001

There are some situations where you’re left unprotected
And your good friends are all far away
So you come to depend on the kindness of strangers
To help you get through the next day

In this cynical age it is hard to be trusting
And it’s good to be cautious, it’s true
Still there’s times that we find that the kindness of strangers
Is the one chance we have to pull through

Bridge:
With our insular lives we sometimes forget
That some strangers are friends that we just haven’t met

If you find yourself stranded in the middle of nowhere
And it looks like you’ve lost it again
You may have to rely on the kindness of strangers
And you’ll find that you’ve found a new friend
